Fried Cabbage
A quick, cheap, simple meal.
Ingredients
- 1/2 head of cabbage
- 1 onion
- some carrots
Spices
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp powdered mustard
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- some black cumin
Instructions
- Heat oil in large cast iron skillet with a lid.
- cut up onion and carrots.
- Fry the onions in the oil for ~2 minutes.
- Add carrots and fry an additional 2 minutes.
- Add cabbage. cover with lid and let cook down for ~3 minutes.
- Add spices and mix in well. Turn the cabbage so all of it gets a good coating.
- Keep lid on and stir every ~3 minutes. Add water if needed. Cook for ~10 minutes or until done.
