Gravy

Put it onto potatoes of any kind.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce (or use tamari for gluten free)
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard (heaping 1/8 tsp powdered)
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour (or use brown rice flour for gluten free)

Instructions

Start a tablespoon of butter in a medium sized pot. add the dry ingredients, then slowly stir in the liquid and bring to a boil.

Whisk over medium-high heat for a couple of minutes, until the gravy thickens.

Serve with mashed potatoes! This gravy keeps well for up to a week in the fridge. Just re-warm, add a little water if too thick, stir and serve.

Notes

  • Mix the flour with 1 cup broth before adding
